I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and earned my master’s degree in clinical social work from the University of Southern California in 2006. I have been working in the mental health field for over 13 years, dedicating the majority of my career to the practice of dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), a model that incorporates both acceptance and change strategies. I was intensively trained in DBT in 2008 and was the clinical leader of the DBT program for the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health until moving to Westlake Village.
Wanting to continue to build upon my behavioral background, I have also received extensive training in exposure and response prevention (ERP) for obsessive-compulsive disorders (OCD), phobias, and eating disorders. ERP is the gold standard of treatment for OCD spectrum disorders and I have found the work to be incredibly rewarding.
Trained and certified in the delivery of interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT), I have a particular passion for the treatment of those going through role transition, interpersonal conflicts, and postpartum depression. I have extensive experience providing individual therapy to a wide array of mental health diagnoses and quality of life issues drawing from mindfulness and behavioral change strategies. I believe in working collaboratively and remain committed to the delivery of evidenced-based practices to help clients reach their goals.
